Reflecting on 2018
It is that time of year when businesses evaluate their last year of business. In Real Estate it also means that the top producers in the office are awarded for their sales achievements.
I’m humbled to receive the Director’s Award for 2018 through Sutton Group-Kilkenny Real Estate and look forward to our annual awards banquet when we receive our plaques.
Each sale that I did was a rich experience. I feel blessed that I was able to assist some special people in moving forward with their lives. For some the move was after they experienced the death of a spouse or family member, the death of a marriage through divorce, and other reasons. I know that I met a lot of needs and that makes me feel good about who I am.
My goal is not a certain number of transactions a year. My goal is to be attentive to my clients and enjoy the experience of working with the people that trust me as their personal Realtor. You see, the emotional rewards are priceless.
I want to love my life and enjoy what I do. Don’t you?
My most valuable achievement of 2018
There is no sales achievement that comes even close to giving me the satisfaction of the miraculous transformation that has taken place in my body.
When I look back to 2018, I will always remember this year as the year I fully recovered from my hip replacement.
Not only am I walking without pain, it has given me joy back in my work. I’m no longer pained from getting in and out of the vehicle. I am not concerned about showing homes with stairs. I can enjoy work without the disruption.
I feel more capable than I have in years! Oddly enough, I can even think clearer. No more medication may have something to do with that! Some can even see that I look different.
Acknowledged for more than just sales in 2018
For starters, In spring of this year, I was featured on the front page of the Top Agent Magazine where they shared my story.
Then, I was taken aback when I got an email that said: You are receiving the Distinguished Real Estate© Designation from Noticed, which is only conferred upon the Top 3% of real estate agents and brokers in the U.S. and Canada.
WHAT?! I told them that they must have made a mistake. I have never been the top 3% of sales in my area. I don’t even aspire to attain that.
When I learned that the selection process is based on a thorough multi-phase research and evaluation, selecting professionals who have demonstrated superior influence, leadership, reputation and knowledge I understand that this was not all about sales volume. In sales volume alone I would not stand alongside of the highest producing agents that I am pleased to do deals with in SE Manitoba.
Thank you Noticed, for acknowledging my dedication and commitment as a Real Estate Professional. Thank you for recognizing an agent for more than just their dollar volume.
What my clients say to me personally is worth more than all my awards
Again, the meaningful relationships and experiences that I have on a regular basis are what make my work fulfilling. On occasion I can give you a glimpse of a day in the life of a Realtor but most of the good stuff is too personal to share.
Thank you to my clients and family of clients for all of the messages on messenger, text, cards, or email. The notes of gratitude make me feel valued and it is nice to be appreciated. It means more to me than all of the awards I have collected.
Your words of encouragement fuel me to continue to give the same level of service to others.
