No one enjoys the experience of working with someone on a deal when they have a lack of consideration for you. I don’t want to be an inconsiderate professional.
So, what can I do to show consideration in real estate?
-Respond to people in a timely manner. Agents and public.
-Make pertinent information available to other agents.
-Respect other people’s deadlines.
-Bite my tongue and don’t give people a piece of my mind.
-Ask for showing requests via Lynx or email, so that there is a record of request, and do the same with the response!
-Follow the code of ethics.
-Refrain from taking it personally when I am inconvenienced. Having to get up early, or stay up later because I need to get signatures, is part of my job. If I want a 9-5 job, I can go work at the general store.
-Keep in mind, that I work for the seller and the buyer!
-Never forget that the other agent is my most valuable customer and I want to continue to have them sell my listings!
